The state of Michigan has some of the better sports wagering options for in-state apps in the US, though geo-fencing issues have emerged at times that makes signing up a problem for a small percentage of people.  The tax implications for gamblers can also be a turnoff.  Offshore books and local bookies do actually have the potential to thrive here.  Michigan does allow for casino gaming.  Available apps include FanDuel, BetRivers, Caesars, BetMGM and DraftKings among others.

Michigan State Make a Good Run in 2023 NCAA Men's Tournament

The Spartans beat Marquette in the 2nd round of the tournament, 69-60.

Tyson Walker scored 17 of his game-high 23 points in the second half.

Joey Hauser had 14 points and 10 rebounds and A.J. Hoggard added 13 points for the Spartans.

"The whole team did a lot of things but these three guys were special," Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said of Walker, Hoggard and Hauser. "And Tyson got his first collegiate dunk."

"I think this whole year I've been doing a good job just not taking chances with my passes, staying under control," Walker said. "And down the stretch, Joey, everybody just said to give me the ball at key times. And I made big plays."

MSU was ultimately shown the door in a tight 98-93 loss to Kansas State in the Sweet 16.

Michigan State did have a good run in college basketball for the 2023 season, finishing with a 19-11 record straight up.  For bettors, they were just MEH, finishing flat at 16-16. They closed the last ten games at the .500 mark ATS as well.

MSU Spartans March Madness History

Michigan State (19-12) has earned a bid to its 25th consecutive NCAA Tournament, the longest streak by any Big Ten school in tournament history.  They've made the Sweet 16 in four of the last ten March Madnesses and the Final Four in two.

Tom Izzo became the first men's coach in history to lead his team to 25 straight NCAA Tournament appearances.  The previous record was held by Duke's Mike Krzyzewski with 24 in a row from 1996-2019.  Coach K is now retired.

Americas Bookie offers some great options that are comparible, if not better, to those of the state-regulated apps.  "Regulated" should be placed in quotes as there have been countless documented issues with these apps in recent months - everything from crashing to account compromises - that have not been adequately addressed.
