Bibee was promoted to the major leagues at the start of last season and made a lot of noise in doing so.  In his debut versus the Colorado Rockies, Bibee became the first Cleveland pitcher ever to record at least five consecutive strikeouts in a Major League debut.

Bibee had an over/under allowed hits total of 4.5 priced each way at -110 in a game against Oakland with Ross Stripling starting for the Athletics and having a total hits allowed set at 6.5.  Stripling's under was priced at -195 but that's a rather high number.

Despite 76% of the action on Cleveland, the line dropped from -195 to a more betable -163. We pulled the trigger a few minutes before game time on Oakland as this was such an appealing fade.  Plus the consensus of cappers were on the A's.

Bibee allowed one run on five hits in five innings in a no-decision against the Red Sox in his last start and was lit up the game prior in a no-decision against the White Sox.

He was 1-0 with a 4.82 ERA coming into today's game.

Stripling hasn’t earned a win in the majors since the 2022, but we're not necessarily backing him.  It's more a matter of counting on the A's bull pen.
