Kansas State Beats MSU, Advanced to Play FAU

Markquis Nowell recorded 27 points, nine assists and three steals for the red hot Wildcats, beating that other Wildcats team, Kentucky, 75-69.   KSU then advanced to the Sweet 16, where they beat Michigan State 98-93.  They were last there five years ago.

Markquis Nowell put up 20 points and an NCAA Tournament-record 19 assists to lead third-seeded Kansas State in that one.

This one was special," Nowell said. "In front of my hometown, in front of the city that loves me, I can't even put into words how blessed and grateful I am."

They opened as a -1.5 favorite versus Florida Atlantic, with the line moving to -2.

KSU would go on to lose to Florida Atlantic 79-76.
