It’s been widely speculated that the European online gambling firms will be the next serious players in what is becoming an already saturated market sector: Daily Fantasy Sports.

Unibet, one of Europe’s largest Web gambling companies, will be attending the first ever Daily Fantasy Sports Expo in Miami Beach August 6-7, Gambling911.com can now confirm.

“The European betting sites have the mechanisms in place to compete with the big boys, DraftKings and FanDuel,” suggests DFSE organizer Marc Lesnick.  “A few of these companies have already expressed interest in adapting their own DFS platforms.”

PokerStars, the largest real money online poker company, has already announced it will begin offering Daily Fantasy Sports at the start of the new NFL season this September.

Unibet and other European wagering firms could either look to offer Daily Fantasy Soccer and other Eurocentric sports or they could see the space as a means of entering the U.S. marketplace.

“We will know soon enough,” remarked Lesnick.

Gambling911.com sister site DFS911.com will be a major sponsor of the upcoming Miami Beach Expo.
