How Rivals Words at Underdog Fantasy

Rivals is a matchup of two players centered around a stat category, like points, goals, or yards. Most Rivals will have an adjustment. For example, LeBron (+2.5) points vs. Kevin Durant means that LeBron would be graded as a Win if LeBron scored more, equal, or 2 fewer points than Durant. For Durant to win, he would have needed to score 3 more points than LeBron.

Some Rivals will not have an adjustment — for example, Alex Ovechkin vs. Connor McDavid Goals. If neither score, it would be graded as a Tie/Void.

How the Underdog Fantasy Model Works

Entrants draft a team of players who accumulate points throughout the duration of the contest (often a shorter period, like one day or one week). Prizes are generally awarded to the top performers based on the accumulated scores over the course of the full contest period.

Compare Payouts to Single Selection Player Props

At BetUS, individuals only need to select one player with some significant payouts, though parlays are also available.
