2008 World Series of Poker Final Table

Who are the nine poker players who will be seated at the 2008 WSOP final table come November?  Let's meet them.

The chip leader heading into the World Series of Poker final was Dennis Phillips with 26,295,000 chips.

53-year old truck salesman from Cottage Hills, Illinois, is the oldest to be seated at this year's World Series of Poker final table.

He won his way into the Main Event through a satellite at Harrah's Casino in St. Louis and has only won a few thousand dollars in major tournaments prior to this experience.

Ivan Demidov was sitting as the second biggest chip leader heading into the final with 24,400,000 chips. 
Demidov hails from Russia and only started playing poker in 2006.

Scott Montgomery had the third largest number of chips coming into November's WSOP final.  He is one of two Canadians who will have seats there.  Montgomery's total tournament wins have totaled $406,585, and those have all come the first six months of this year.  He has been accumulating a nice sum of money from this year's WSOP events as well.

4. Peter Eastgate 18,375,000   - This 22-year old comes to us from Odense, Denmark where he participated in the 2008 EPT Scandinavian Open (Copenhagen) - Season 4, coming in 32nd.

6. Darus Suharto 12,520,000

7. David 'Chino' Rheem 10,230,000

8. Craig Marquis 10,210,000

9. Kelly Kim 2,620,000

A $9.1 million prize awaits the winner of the 2008 World Series of Poker.  Nine remaining players battled to sit at the final table from a field of 6,844 entrants.
