Current Event Betting Odds Feb 11: Next Aston Villa Manager, Jon Stewart Future

Gambling911.com has your current event betting odds for February 11, 2015 including the next Aston Villa manager and what will Jon Stewart do next.

Big news late Wednesday as Aston Villa have sacked Paul Lambert and now it’s time to bet on who will be Villa’s next manager.

Tim Sherwood is the favorite at 6/4 odds.  Sherwood had previously been favored to be named the next manager of QPR.

Aston Villa released the final statement regarding their decision to part ways with Lambert.

“The club would also like to place on record its thanks to Paul and take this opportunity to wish him every success in the future. The club will announce a new manager in due course. There will be no further comment from the club at this stage.”

What Will Jon Stewart Do Next – These odds have yet to be offered.  Gambling911.com will monitor closely.  Stewart has been courted by CBS in the past but he has also dabbled in film directing.

Stewart stunned everybody by announcing his upcoming retirement from the “Daily Show” Tuesday night.

Brian Williams Betting Odds – Books have not offered odds on NBC News anchor Brian Williams future after it was revealed he had exaggerated a story from Iraq, claiming his helicopter had been hit by enemy fire when in fact it had not been.  It has been a week and this is one of the most popular stories on the Net and on television (not surprisingly).  Why the bookies have shied away from this particular wagering option is anybody’s guess.

Gambling911.com would offer odds of 1-6 that Williams will not be returning to his NBC News anchor seat after the network suspended him without pay Tuesday evening.

Interestingly enough, there are some murmurs of Williams taking over the anchor chair at the “Daily Show”.

Valentine’s Day – The lover’s holiday will be a social media sensation of these next few days and the folks at FullFlushPoker are looking to capitalize with $50,000 GTD FULL FLUSH LOVE.

The online poker room is also showing players some love on the annual Feast of St. Valentine, with their $5,000 MEMBERS POPROLL on Saturday, February 14th at 2pm ET. Parlay pocket change into a share of the V-Day $5,000 GTD POPROLL prize money, with the following Buy-in options:

$1.00 +$0.10

100 POP (Player Option Points)

1 DEPOSIT FREEROLL TICKET

1 RELOAD FREEROLL TICKET

Evander Cane – He was traded to Buffalo in a blockbuster deal.  This announcement came Wednesday afternoon.

From USA Today:

The desire to trade Kane intensified this week when he was made a healthy scratch after showing up for a team meeting wearing a track suit when a sport coat was required. It was reported that Dustin Byfuglien threw Kane's track suit into a shower. Kane then decided on season-ending shoulder surgery, despite playing through the injury for much of the year.

The Jets were still coming in with long 50-1 odds of winning this year’s Stanley Cup.
