The Social Network

The odds to win the Best Picture award at the 2011 Oscars had two favorites that were now starting to close the gap a bit.

The Social Network, which initially opened as the favorite, currently had odds of -350, requiring a $35 bet to win $10 at Bookmaker.com (the $35 will be refunded should the bet be a winner).

The official favorite, however, is The Kings Speech, which had odds of -700

Odds to win Best Picture at 2011 Oscars appear below.  All but The Social Network and The Kings Speech pay out as underdogs.  For example, +4000 odds means that a $10 bet will pay out $400.  +1900 odds on Black Swan would pay out $190 on a $10 bet, and so on….

The 2011 Oscars will take place this coming Sunday.  It is the single most wagered on non sporting event outside of the US Presidential Election.  The Oscars also rivals major sporting events when it comes to betting.  The awards show is typically the third most bet on single day event of the year online after the Super Bowl and Kentucky Derby.
