Odds to win the Best Supporting Actor for the 2018 Oscars had Sam Rockwell as a pretty decent sized "lock" priced at -900.  The payout would be $10 for every $90 bet with that $90 refunded should he win.  While the risk is high, -900 is actually decent for the Oscars considering this is pretty much an almost-certain win that can yield a fair return with a risk substantially lower than other categories like Best Actor and Best Actress.  There is one caveat to consider below however.

Rockwell is nominated for Three Billboards. But that aforementioned caveat applies to the film receiving a backlash over the Rockwell character being racist and it remains to be seen whether this carries over to this category.  Many believe the film will lose out to either The Shape of Water or Get Out in the Best Picture category due to this growing backlash.

Willem Dafoe has the next shortest odds for The Florida Project at +450 but he has received very little in the way of buzz.

All of the odds appear below.
