Argentina 2010 World Cup

Following an impressive victory over a team that has already had three points, Argentina had one of the best performances of the 2010 World Cup with a 3-1 dismantling of the South Korea team.

Gonzalo Higuain scored a hat trick that should most certainly put Argentina into the next round.

Argentina took the lead in the 17th minute when Park Chu-young deflected in a free kick from Lionel Messi.

Higuain's second goal came off a great run by Messi, who had a shot blocked, got the rebound and hit the post with a second strike. The ball bounced to Higuain, who tapped it in. Four minutes later, Messi played the ball in to substitute striker Sergio Aguero, who crossed for Higuain to complete the rout.

Argentina had been listed around 6/1 odds to win the 2010 World Cup heading into the tournament at Bookmaker.com.  These odds were likely to be slashed by later today.
