Washington
New Orleans -7 – This one opened at -10.  The Saints are seeing 60 percent of the spread betting action.

Philadelphia
Cleveland +9 – This line opened at +8.  The Eagles are a public favorite to win the 2013 Super Bowl.  75 percent of the public action is on Philadelphia here.  This line could move up another half point by game time.  Bookies will need the Browns here.

St. Louis
Detroit -7 – This line has been all over the place after opening at -10.  Depending on the book, the Lions could still be found at the number 7. 7.5, 8 and 9.  Middle this one if you like.  Around 70 percent of the betting action is on the Lions here.  Bookies will be wanting St. Louis though this particular game is not getting super heavy action early.

Atlanta
Kansas State +3

Indianapolis
Chicago -9.5 – The line has fallen from -11.  There were still some books offering -10 on the Bears.  Balanced action here.

Jacksonville
Minnesota -3.5

Buffalo
New York Jets -2.5 – This line was as low as -1 at some books we checked.  The trend is for this line to dip as it opened at -5.  Buffalo is seeing close to 72 percent of the spread betting action, which is helping to drag this line down.  It is highly unusual in recent years for the bookies to be rooting for the Jets to win at home against Buffalo.

New England
Tennessee +5 – This one opened with the Patriots as -7 road favorites.  The line has dipped even though New England is seeing the most lopsided betting action of any other NFL team heading into Week 1.  Go figure.  A Patriots cover will be a killer for the books so they really have a strong opinion here on Tennessee or else the sharp action is all coming in on the Titans.

Miami

Houston -12.5 – Heavy action on the Texans with 80 percent backing the Houston spread.  Oddsmakers are reacting by moving the line up from the opening -7.5 to -13.5 at some books.

Carolina
Tampa Bay +1 – Some books still offer Tampa Bay at +2.5.

San Francisco
Green Bay -5 – This one opened at -7.5.  We are seeing 60 percent of the betting action on the Packers spread.

Seattle
Arizona +3 – The Seahawks are the third most wagered on side in 2012 NFL Week 1 betting.  They are getting 72 percent of the action.  It is interesting this is such a heavily wagered on game early on and that the Seahawks are seeing so much love but that is the case.

Steelers

Broncos -1.5 – This one had been at a PICK’EM.  The line is moving upwards.  It remains to be seen whether a -2 spread occurs prior to game time.  The action is balanced at most books. It will be a heavily wagered on game as one might expect.

Monday Night Betting Action….

Cincinnati
Baltimore -6 – The Ravens were getting nearly 70 percent of the early spread betting action.

San Diego
Oakland -1 – The Chargers were seeing around 60 percent of the betting action.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
