The Euro Cup, which many soccer gambling fans around the world believe is the second best soccer tournament in the world, will be entering the Quarter Final Round this upcoming Thursday. There are four deliciously mouth watering match-ups that will be played at 3pm eastern from Thursday to Sunday.

The first match-up on Thursday is Portugal against Poland. Portugal snuck into the knock round like a thief in the night, when they pulled off a come from behind tie against Hungary in the group stage, and qualified as the last of the 16 qualifying teams for the knock out stage. In four games Portugal has yet to win in regulation time, finishing each of their 4 games in a tie. Their opponent Poland won 2 of their 3 games in the group stage and they have yet to allow a goal in any of their 4 games. At the moment the book makers are slightly favoring Portugal as -175 to advance to the next round. This game should be a low scoring grudge match, that I would not be surprised if it were decided in extra time or even penalty kicks.

The second match-up will take place on Friday between Belgium and Wales. Led by Gareth Bale, Wales has been one of the biggest surprises of this tournament, by winning their group that had England, Russia and Slovakia in it. They will be facing a Belgium team that started off flat footed losing 2-0 to Italy in their first game, but have since bounce back impressively with 3 straight victories and have totaled 8 goals scored and no goals allowed in those games. Belgium is the clear favorite to advance at -300, and even on the three way line, which includes the third option of ending in a draw after 90 minutes, soccer gambling fans will need to lay money at -143. Belgium recently lost their number 1 overall FIFA ranking, however they are now playing like their old selves, and maybe able to fight through to the next round.

The third match-up will be on Saturday with Italy taking on Germany. These are two of the legendary powerhouses in soccer, and both teams looked in top form in their round of 16 game. Germany has also yet to given up a goal in this tournament, along with an unblemished record of 3 wins and 1 draw. Italy had a decisive win to open the tournament against Belgium, and then after winning the group they were able to vanquish their arch nemesis in the round of 16 by beating Spain 2-0. Led by goal keeper Gianluigi Buffon, who has only given up one goal this tournament, they appear in championship form. The odds makers have Germany as the favorite to advance at -185, but the Italian squad appear to be a great value at +145 to advance and +294 on the 90 minute 3 way line.

The fourth and final match-up of the Quarter Finals will showcase the hometown favorite France, against by far the biggest surprise of the tournament in Iceland. Iceland, with a miniscule 330,000 people in their entire country, not only miraculously qualified for the their first ever Euro Cup, and have in the last 6 years climbed from from being ranked 112th in FIFA's world rankings to 34th, have also done the impossible and won their group, which consisted of Ronaldo and the Portuguese, and then they came from behind against England and knocked out the English in stunning fashion with two unanswered goals. France has cruised thru the tournament with 3 wins and a draw. France came out flat against Ireland in the round of 16, but had a ferocious second half comeback to help them get to this game, but they better not take these Icelanders lightly, or they are in for a rude awakening. France is heavily favored to advance at -650, and -249 on the 3 way line, but will Iceland’s fairy tale story continue? If so they could be worth a play at +310 to advance or +809 on the 3 way line.
