Baylor vs. SMU Point Spread – Sunday College Football

The Baylor Bears vs. SMU point spread was at -33 with a total of 73.5 at BetDSI.com.  offensive shootout expected.

The Baylor Bears are not resting on their laurels after winning the Big 12 last season. Head coach Art Briles realizes that his team must start fast in 2014. "We know we're really going to have to be at our best, because this is 2014. All that stuff that happened last year, that's gone. It's gone," coach Art Briles said, "This is when we start our football team, this Sunday night, for this year. And that's all that matters." A sellout crowd of 45,000 is expected for this game on Sunday and the fans should get an offensive show. Baylor Bears quarterback Bryce Petty is a Heisman Trophy candidate after throwing for 4,200 yards and 32 TDs last year. "I'm excited personally. That's one of the reasons that I came back, I want to be the best to ever play here," Petty said. Petty will be able to throw to seniors Antwan Goodley (71 catches, 1,339 yards, 13 TDs) and Levi Norwood (47, 733, eight TDs).

The SMU Mustangs finished sixth last season in pass attempts under head coach June Jones. "We are going to go back to what we do best," coach June Jones said. The quarterback this season for the team will be sophomore quarterback Neal Burcham.
