NFL.  Select players that are solid against opposing defenses that allow plenty of

fantasy points to specific positions.

Allows Higher Than Average Number of Fantasy Points to Opposing Quarterbacks:

Tampa Bay Bucs

Kansas City Chiefs – Among the worst teams against the pass.

Detroit Lions

Cleveland Browns – They had allowed 27 or more points in four of the five games they’ve played heading into Week 6.   This included plenty of touchdowns.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Houston Texans

San Diego Chargers

San Francisco 49ers

Baltimore Ravens

Indianapolis Colts – Rank among the bottom ten against the pass, allowing the 11th-most points to opposing quarterbacks.

New York Giants – Their defense has allowed the ninth-most points to opposing passers this year,

New Orleans Saints - The Saints have allowed nine touchdown passes to opposing passers through five games.

Oakland Raiders

Tough on Opposing Quarterbacks:

New York Jets – They were allowing the second fewest number of fantasy points to opposing QBs coming into Week 6.

St. Louis Rams - Heading into Week 5 of this season, the Rams had not allowed more than one touchdown pass from an opposing quarterback this season.

Arizona Cardinals

Minnesota Vikings

Buffalo Bills – Rank 10th in points allowed to opposing quarterbacks.

Denver Broncos - No quarterback had scored more than one touchdown against the Broncos so far this season coming into Week 6. They are among the league’s toughest defenses. 

Carolina Panthers – 4th ranked pass defense.

New England Patriots – 7th ranked defense against opposing QBs.

Philadelphia Eagles

Allows Higher Than Average Number of Fantasy Points to Opposing Running Backs:

Dallas Cowboys - Running backs have found the end zone seven times in five games this season against the Cowboys

Minnesota Vikings – Rank in the bottom half of the league against opposing running backs.

St. Louis Rams - They have allowed plenty of fantasy points against opposing running backs this season.

Cincinnati Bengals

Detroit Lions

Chicago Bears

Cleveland Browns – Have the worst run defense in the league.

Houston Texans - 31st ranked pass defense against running backs heading into Week 6.

Tennessee Titans

Miami Dolphins - Prior to their bye, Miami allowed 100 or more rushing yards to three running backs who were of non-elite status. 

Carolina Panthers

San Diego Chargers – They have allowed the 3rd most fantasy points to opposing backs this season.

San Francisco 49ers

Washington Redskins

Tough on Opposing Running Backs:

Oakland Raiders - Rank 7th against the ground game.

New York Jets

Washington Redskins

Arizona Cardinals – They were ranking among the top 10 teams in permitting the least number of fantasy points to opposing running backs.

Pittsburgh Steelers – Coming into Week 6, no back had gone over 70 yards on the ground, and no running back has found his way into the end zone at all this season.  The Steelers ranked number 3 against the run.

Kansas City Chiefs

Buffalo Bills – Entering Week 6, the Bills had yet to allow a running back to rush for more than 49 yards in a game this season. 

Seattle Seahawks - No running back had found the end zone against Seattle this year coming into Week 6.

Baltimore Ravens

Indianapolis Colts

Philadelphia Eagles – They have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing backs this year. No runner has scored a touchdown or gone over 100 yards against Philly yet this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Allows Higher Than Average Number of Fantasy Points to Opposing Receivers:

Houston Texans

Green Bay Packers

San Francisco 49ers

Baltimore Ravens – They have allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing wideouts. 

Indianapolis Colts

Philadelphia Eagles – They have allowed the third-most points to wideouts so far this season.

Atlanta Falcons

Tampa Bay Bucs - Tampa Bay ranks dead last against number one receivers and second-to-last against secondary receivers

Carolina Panthers

Allows Higher Than Average Number of Fantasy Points to Opposing Tight Ends:

Pittsburgh Steelers – The Steelers are especially vulnerable when it comes to opposing tight ends.  Decent tight ends should be considered against the Steelers these next few weeks.  Three of the seven longest pass plays against the Steelers this season have come from tight ends.

Oakland Raiders - Allow the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.

Detroit – The Lions had allowed four touchdowns to tight ends so far this year coming into Week 6.

Tough on Tight Ends:

Tampa Bay Bucs - The Buccaneers have yet to allow more than 43 yards to a tight end so far this season.

Chicago Bears

Carolina Panthers – Allow the fewest points to opposing tight ends.
