Daily Fantasy Sports Picks for NFL Week 14: Jimmy Graham, Antonio Gates, More

Gambling911.com has your Daily Fantasy Sports picks for Week 14 of the 2014 NFL season along with a few players to stay away from.

For starters, we suggest staying away from Mark Sanchez this week despite how tempting he might be.  He’ll be up against the stingiest defense to opposing quarterbacks in the league, allowing a mere 11.5 fantasy points per game.

Likewise, stay clear of Andrew Luck.   Our big play of the day is on the Browns +3.5 for a reason.   Cleveland allows the fourth fewest fantasy points to opposing QBs this season and Luck will be playing in temperatures hovering around 38 degrees but with winds between 10 and 20 miles per hour, making it feel quite a bit colder.

The Browns Brian Hoyer does have value as he goes up against a Colts defense that gave up nearly 400 passing yards to Colt McCoy last week.

We also like Jonathan Stewart of the Panthers, priced in the $4000 to $5000 range.  DeAngelo Williams is out for Carolina while the Saints defense been rendered ineffective against the run of late.

Speaking of the Saints, do go with tight end Jimmy Graham, who didn’t factor into last week’s win against the Steelers (zero fantasy points) but should rebound this week.  He’s cheap at under $7000.  That price is cheap for someone most fantasy experts have pegged among their top five tight ends.  He’s a “must start” even if Carolina is allowing the 12th fewest fantasy points to this position.

With all this in mind, Saints wide receiver Kenny Sills is back in the spotlight again this week.  He was red hot against Pittsburgh, averaging air yards of 24 per target.  The Panthers have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing receiving corps on the season.  He’s a steal at around $6000.

Antonio Gates should get plenty of production vs. a New England team that has allowed at least 10 fantasy points to opposing tight ends in six of the past seven games.  Gates has had six TDs and a 79 percent reception rate.  He can be had for under $5000.

Stedman Bailey offers decent value for the Rams with a price tag of no more than $6500 (and you can get him much cheaper than that depending on the site).   He has become one of Shaun Hill’s favorite targets and Washington’s secondary is surrendering the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing QBs.

The folks at Rotoworld.com believe Cardinals running back Stepfan Taylor makes the most sense as a Week 14 flex-play as KC’s defensive weakness is on the ground.  That’s good enough at the $3000 price for a long shot value play.
