Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire Picks: Kirk Cousins, Donald Brown, Brian Qui

The New York Times released its Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire picks as did other sites like Fox Sports and CBS Sports with the consensus picks on Kirk Cousins, Donald Brown and Brian Quick.

With Week 4 comes the weekly byes and this week we have a lot of talent sitting on the sidelines from franchises the likes of Denver and Seattle.

Kirk Cousins of the Redskins is getting plenty of love across the board.

The New York Times points out that “Cousins is third among all quarterbacks in fantasy points per dropback, according to ProFootballFocus.com, and is fourth in yards per attempt.”

CBS Fantasy News writes of Cousins: “We had Cousins in this spot last week as well, and he shined in his first start for Griffin on 30-of-48 passing for 427 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He faces a Giants defense that has done well against opposing quarterbacks the past two weeks, but that was Drew Stanton and Ryan Fitzpatrick, who still managed 20 Fantasy points in a standard league. Cousins should remain a Top 12 Fantasy quarterback this week and should be owned in all formats.

Jacksonville’s Blake Bortles is another favorite among the Fantasy rookie quarterback prospects.  Bortles was third among quarterbacks in fantasy points per dropback in Week 3.

Running back favorites had Donald Brown of the Chargers on top of the list at many sites.

Fox Sports writes of Brown:

“Brown rushed 31 times for 62 yards.  Ooof!  However, the new lead back in San Diego did chip in five receptions for 27 yards.  The hybrid threat of any healthy running back of the moment – which there are few – makes him a must-add in any format rest of season.  Outside of the Jets in two weeks, Brown’s schedule is pretty favorable against the rush.”

Wide receiver Brian Quick of the Rams is a consensus pick on many of the top Fantasy sites.

From the New York Times:

“When most people think of Appalachian State, they think of its upset victory over Michigan in 2007. But Quick is doing his best to make sure he’s the first thing people think of when they hear his alma mater’s name.

Through three weeks, he is a Top 20 fantasy receiver and is Top 10 in fantasy points-per-pass-route among receivers who have played more than 50 percent of their team’s snaps.

The only thing holding back Quick is a relatively low number of targets, but he’s quickly developing into the Rams’ best receiver and should serve as a decent flex option moving forward.”
