Florida vs. LSU College Football Odds

Florida vs. LSU College Football odds were now at Gators -7 ½ at SBG Global with more people believing that Tim Tebow will play following a concussion that knocked him out during a game two weeks ago.  Florida had its bye week last week.

Florida head coach Urban Meyer says that Tebow had his best practice of the week Thursday, but team doctors want to see how the quarterback reacts to the flight from Gainsville to Baton Rouge Friday before clearing him to play Saturday night against LSU.

Florida vs. LSU odds had been as high as -11 ½.

For Florida fans and Tebow himself, the smart move might be to sit this one out.

To ESPN analyst Merrill Hoge, who had four diagnosed concussions during his career as an NFL running back, including one so severe he said it took two years to fully recover, the biggest mistake he made was coming back too soon.

"That's the greatest danger," Hoge said. "I would have absolutely no concern whatsoever as long as he's been cognitively asymptomatic, at rest and under exertion, for seven consecutive days -- underline consecutive. If everything's back to normal, go get 'em. But if on day six he looks bad in practice or forgets things in the huddle, it would be foolish. Foolish.

"If there's the slightest hesitation, don't do it."

Tebow's backup is more than capable of getting the job done.  John Brantley has looked good in his brief time on the field as a sophomore, completing 73.3 percent of his passes and throwing four touchdowns without an interception.
