LSU Odds to Win the 2015 National Championship

BetDSI.com has LSU odds to win the 2015 National Championship set at 22-1.

With twelve starters back and with Cameron’s system now fully implemented there is reason for cautious optimism in Baton Rouge but the SEC is very tough and unless the team can find a starting quarterback who can handle the pressure of playing in big games it could be a disappointing season in 2014 for the LSU Tigers.

2014 LSU Tigers Offense: The offense for the LSU Tigers has to replace their starting quarterback, leading rusher and top three receivers this season. The quarterback battle looks to be between Anthony Jennings and true freshman Brandon Harris. The running game could get a boost with the addition of Leonard Fournette. There are some talented, but inexperienced receivers in Travin Dural, John Diarse, Trey Quinn and Malachi Dupre. The good news is that the offensive line has four returning starters.

2014 LSU Tigers Defense: The defense should be very solid, especially up front led by Danielle Hunter and Jermauria Rasco. There are some questions at linebacker so the team needs Kendell Beckwith to finally start to show his talent. The secondary is led by sophomore cornerbacks ¬Tre’Davious White and Rashard Robinson. Safety is a major question as the team doesn’t have any experience at that position.

2014 LSU Tigers Outlook: The LSU Tigers have a lot of question marks on both sides of the ball. They do have a good offensive line so perhaps they can play defense and run the ball. It is hard to see this team challenging in the SEC West as both Alabama and Auburn appear to be better.
