New England Patriots odds to win the 2012 AFC East:  -650

New England Patriots regular season win total:  OVER 12 -125/UNDER 12 EVEN

New England Patriots 2012 Schedule:

Week 1: at Tennessee
Week 2: Arizona
 Week 3: at Baltimore
 Week 4: at Buffalo
 Week 5: Denver
 Week 6: at Seattle
Week 7: New York Jets
 Week 8: at St. Louis
 Week 9: BYE
 Week 10: Buffalo
 Week 11: Indianapolis
Week 12: at New York Jets
Week 13: at Miami
 Week 14: Houston
 Week 15: San Francisco
 Week 16: at Jacksonville
 Week 17: Miami

With the New England Patriots essentially co-favorites to win the 2013 Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers early on, it can be assumed New England is expected to win every regular season game.  On paper, they probably can.

Being somewhat realistic Gambling911.com would give at least one loss in the division (probably to the Jets on the road) and a loss on the road to Baltimore.

Their schedule looks especially soft, however, and there is little to suggest the Patriots cannot win OVER 12 regular season games.  After all, the only over .500 team they play on the road outside of the division competition are the Ravens.  The -125 actually is not a bad price either.

The Pats should win the AFC East easily, but at a price of -650 there is just too little value.  You would be risking $650 just to win $100 (the $650 bet of course is returned should New England win).

New York Jets odds to win the 2012 AFC East:  +650

New York Jets regular season win total:  OVER 9 EVEN / UNDER 9 -135

New York Jets 2012 Schedule:

Week 1: Buffalo
 Week 2: at Pittsburgh
 Week 3: at Miami
 Week 4: San Francisco
 Week 5: Houston (Mon.)
 Week 6: Indianapolis
 Week 7: at New England
 Week 8: Miami
 Week 9: BYE
 Week 10: at Seattle
 Week 11: at St. Louis
 Week 12: New England (Thurs.)
 Week 13: Arizona
 Week 14: at Jacksonville
 Week 15: at Tennessee (Mon.)
 Week 16: San Diego
 Week 17: at Buffalo

The oddsmakers believe that the New York Jets will be a .500 team, winning just 8 as the UNDER 9 had a line set at -135.

Gambling911.com believes New York should be able to win all of their home division games plus what should be a meaningless game in Buffalo the final week of the regular season.

At home they have two teams they should be able to beat: Indianapolis and Arizona.  On paper they would probably be able to handle San Diego during the final week of the regular season as well.

While it is possible the Jets will win at home against either the San Francisco 49ers or Houston Texans, more likely they can take two of three on the road against either Seattle, St. Louis or Jacksonville.

Unless the Jets completely implode this season, New York has a very decent shot of going OVER 9 at EVEN odds.

Miami Dolphins odds to win the 2012 AFC East:  10/1

Miami Dolphins regular season win total:  OVER 7 EVEN / UNDER 7 -125

Miami Dolphins 2012 Schedule:

Week 1: at Houston
 Week 2: Oakland
Week 3: New York Jets
 Week 4: at Arizona
 Week 5: at Cincinnati
 Week 6: St. Louis
 Week 7: BYE
Week 8: at New York Jets
 Week 9: at Indianapolis
 Week 10: Tennessee
 Week 11: at Buffalo (Thurs.)
 Week 12: Seattle
 Week 13: New England
 Week 14: at San Francisco
 Week 15: Jacksonville
 Week 16: Buffalo
 Week 17: at New England

Oddsmakers believe the Dolphins will endure a record of UNDER .500.  With limited talent on offense and Miami’s failure to snag Jeff Fisher as head coach, Gambling911.com has to believe the oddsmakers are right here.

Now granted, if this team is even remotely better than last year’s Dolphins squad, they do have a chance at beating Oakland, St. Louis, Tennessee, Seattle, Jacksonville and Buffalo at home and Arizona, Indianapolis and Buffalo on the road.  But that would be such a stretch.

They can probably still win 7 games, so the OVER/UNDER here is a little tough to put money on.
