Packers-Panthers Daily Fantasy NFL Picks, Betting Odds

Gambling911.com has your Packers-Panthers Daily Fantasy NFL picks and betting odds for Week 9 of the NFL.

We have a line of -2.5 Green Bay visiting in Carolina with a total of 45.5.  This should prove to be an excellent game with the Panthers still undefeated as part of what is becoming their Cinderella season.  But gamblers are backing Green Bay hard at nearly 90% believing they will be looking to rebound from their first loss of the season as heavy favorites to beat Denver on the road.

The line incidentally opened at Green Bay -1.5 and has only moved to -2.5 despite the heavy one-sided action.  This tells us the oddsmakers are very concerned about going above the number 3.  On paper, however, this looks like a blowout win for the Packers.

What to Consider With the Packers – The Packers rank 5th when it comes to the pass defense so Cam Newton won’t be a play here.  Teams have found some success against the Packers run defense so a good running back could build up points.  The problem is that Green Bay does not allow opposing teams much running while Carolina does not have any top running backs to take on Green Bay.

What to Consider With the Panthers – Like with Cam Newton, you won’t want to play Aaron Rodgers versus this tough pass defense.  Likewise, tight ends are ruled out against the Panthers as are wide receivers.  Running backs, on the other hand, are fair game and Green Bay has a solid one in Eddie Lacey

Who to Play –

Eddie Lacey ($6.1K) – Lacey had 11 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown as well as one catch for nine yards in Sunday night's Week 8 loss to the Broncos.  He was held to three second-half yards however.

The Panthers are easier to beat on the ground than the Broncos though.  Denver, in fact, ranks 6th against the run.

Carolina has been annihilated against the run by the combos of Ryan Mathews and DeMarco Murray in Week 7 (totaling 160 rushing yards) and Doug Marin and Charles Sims during Week 4 (combining for close to 200 total yards).
