Panthers-Packers Betting Line: Cam Newton vs. Aaron Rodgers Fantasy Matchup

The Panthers-Packers betting line had Green Bay at -6.5 with some books moving to -7.  Action was relatively balanced.  We also have your Cam Newton vs. Aaron Rodgers fantasy matchup below.  Which quarterback stands to rack in the most fantasy points?

We’ll get to the Cam Newton question in a moment but let’s first look at the betting value for this game.

The last time these two teams met was in 2011 where Green Bay beat Carolina on the road as a -10.5-point favorite.  That says a lot about just how bad the Panthers were at that time.

Today, Cam and company come into this game with a 3-2 record vs. a Green Bay team that is 4-2.  Carolina is 4-2 Against The Spread while Green Bay is 3-2-1.

As an underdog of 3.5 to 9.5 points over the past three seasons, Carolina is 6-1 ATS.

Now when it comes to fantasy play this week, all eyes will be on Cam Newton and Aaron Rodgers.

The Green Bay starting QB is widely ranked as the number two best fantasy quarterback in the nation right now and with good reason.  He is on pace for 40 TDs and three picks.

The Packers are allowing the 9th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and this certainly bodes well for Cam Newton.   Green Bay is also allowing the second-most rushing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks

Carolina's DeAngelo Williams (ankle) will not play Sunday, while fellow RB Jonathan Stewart (knee) is expected to return after missing the last three games.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
