SNF Betting Odds – Packers vs. Saints: Fantasy Value for Randall Cobb, Mark Ingr

SNF betting odds for the highly anticipated Packers vs. Saints game had New Orleans as a -2.5 home favorite though it is the Packers who are seeing over 70% of the betting action.  The line opened -1 so we are seeing the bookies enticing gamblers to jump all over the public underdog. A look at the fantasy report below and one can see how Green Bay does have a shot of rolling over the Saints in New Orleans.

Green Bay hosted the Saints in both 2011 and 2012, winning by only one point the later year and by 8 points in 2011. It’s interesting to note that, had the game been played in New Orleans three years ago, the line would have been identical to today’s give or take a point. The result probably would have been different as well.

The Saints are a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde team with their dominance at home and routine implosions on the road.

Drew Brees is 10-0 with a 117.9 passer rating in his last 10 at home but a great deal will hinge on whether Bree’s number one target Mark Ingram is fully healed from a shoulder injury that rendered him useless last week.  Green Bay’s rush defense is ranked 31st in the league.

While Drew Brees as the the eighth-highest per-game scoring clip among quarterbacks, Green Bay is permitting the 7th fewest fantasy points to opposing QBs.  The Saints, on the other hand, are allowing the 7th most fantasy points to opposing arms and this bodes quite well for Aaron Rodgers.

Meanwhile we have the Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb who has been nothing short of brilliant this season.  The Saints are allowing the second most fantasy points to wideouts.
