Resident bookmaking expert Tony Caliente discusses Saturday’s Week 11 College Football betting action between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Miami Hurricanes.

All things being equal without knowledge of any serious injuries, we would have opened this game at Irish -6.5 with a lean towards the -6.  Instead we are seeing nothing but -3 and the occasional -3.5 favoring Notre Dame.

Books are doing little to discourage action on Notre Dame, which on Friday was seeing 77% of the action even when at -3.5.

Last year, Notre Dame only won at home by 3 points as a -2 favorite.

There are no major injury concerns facing the Irish.

We are facing significant exposure with a Notre Dame cover here but I suspect there is plenty of sharp action on Miami.

The Canes run defense has been shaky and Notre Dame’s Josh Adams presents a serious threat here.

Notre Dame does have a loss on the season, Miami does not, but the Irish are covering in a big way (7-2 Against The Spread), Miami (4-4).

The books do seem to have an opinion that Miami will cover here, though not entirely convincing.  I’m not so sure that’s going to happen.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position
