EOG.com’s John Kelly Denies Radio Report He’s a Deadbeat
Eye on Gambling (EOG.com) general manager John Kelly, accused earlier this week by a Los Angeles radio host of being a deadbeat who "don't pay the bills too good," has denied the allegations, announcing "I plead not guilty to all charges!"
Roger Stein, host of a horse racing show on Los Angeles radio station KLAA, said on the program Sunday: "Don't ever loan John Kelly money. And I'll tell you why. A friend of mine helped him out. This was a very kind guy. I won't give you his name, but helped him out. And to this day he's got very little chance of getting his money back, because John Kelly can put on those pastel-colored suits, but he don't pay the bills too good."

Shortly after Gambling911.com broke the story about Stein's comments, posters on the popular EOG.com posting forum began questioning Kelly--who is also a radio host and sports handicapper in Las Vegas--about what Stein said.
Kelly denied the allegations, posting in the EOG.com forum the following remarks: "Never a lender nor borrower be. Ridiculous. This is getting old. I've been accused of being married, divorced, falling behind on child support payments, owing the IRS, running a boiler room operation, etc. I plead not guilty to all charges. I never borrowed money from one of his friends."
Then, out of the blue, Stein himself posted in the EOG.com posting forum for the first time ever, clarifying the remarks he had made earlier on radio about Kelly.
"Hello, everyone, this is Roger Stein," Stein posted. "I was directed to this website by one of its members. Let me set the record straight. John Kelly owes 'Bettor Bob' more than $10K in wagers placed for him on sporting events. While he has claimed he will pay, he simply doesn't. I guess you could say, like crime, neither of them pay!!! Good luck to all of you. Roger. P.S. John Kelly is a stiff!!!"
Kelly then responded on EOG.com to Stein's post, writing: "Initially, Roger claimed I borrowed money from someone, he claims a guy 'helped me out' and now he claims I owe someone over $10,000 in gambling debts. I paid my $500 gambling debt to Roger in 1995 immediately following the result of a horse race at Santa Anita. Shame on Roger Stein. I'll put my reputation against his reputation any day of the week."
