Agreement Reached in Northern New Jersey Casino Expansion Plan - New Jersey lawmakers have reached a deal to put a statewide referendum on the November ballot asking voters whether to approve two new casinos in the northern part of the state.  Republican Gov. Chris Christie joined with Senate President Steve Sweeney and Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto on Monday to announce a deal that would impose a minimum of $1 billion in investment in each of the two new casinos.

Online Gambling Sees Huge Profit Increase in Atlantic City -  Within digital, Caesars Interactive Entertainment New Jersey (CNIENJ) turned a $2.2m loss into a $1.5m profit, while Resorts Digital, which wasn't live past year, recorded a loss just short of $2m.
Gross operating profits at Atlantic City's eight operational casinos grew 61% year-on-year to $237.4 million in the third quarter of the year, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reported on Monday.

Betfair Gains First New Jersey Exchange LicenseEurope’s leading sports betting exchange has just been granted the first ever New Jersey state exchange wagering license.

The New Jersey Racing Commission (NJRC) licensed Betfair US in partnership with Darby Development, the racetrack operator of Monmouth Park.

Betfair, which is slated to merge with Irish-based bookmaker Paddy Power to become the biggest wagering company in the world, has been trying to get licensed in New Jersey for the past four years.

The state is one of three that currently allow intrastate online casinos and poker.
