An interesting concept indeed from a most unlikely source, Heritage Sports has unveiled its “Build Your Own Player Prop Bets” platform.

Typically it is the European online bookmakers that come up with these types of innovations before everyone else in the sector.  Heritage, now going strong for nearly two decades, is based in Costa Rica.

Gamblers will now be able to set their own lines on how a particular player will perform as opposed to the bookmaker forcing their own odds upon them.

Sportsbook Review describes the new concept as “the closest incorporation of fantasy sports in the world of online betting”.

Here is how it works:

Build your bet by selecting from one of the available sports: NBA. NFL, MLB, EPL, LA LIGA, SERIE A, Etc. Once you’ve settled on your league, select your player(s) from the available list or search for your player from the selected game or other games in the schedule.

Choose between a single statistical wager with your player or match your player with another with a Head to Head matchup. If choosing a single bet, select a statistical market, find your number and let our system present your odds.

Heritage Sports provided an example using the Carolina Panthers Cam Newton.

One would simply search CAM NEWTON and choose from a list of statistical options.  In this example, Heritage opts for the TOUCHDOWNS stats.  You can then select CAM NEWTON to have at least 5 touchdowns against an opposing team, in this case the Tampa Bay Bucs.

The system then calculates the odds, at which time you can take the bet as is with those odds or adjust the stats further (up or down) for a larger size payout or the stat offering a better shot at winning.

It is not yet known as to whether Heritage plans to market this Build Your Own Player Betting Prop platform beyond their brand.
