Preakness Stakes 2013 Odds

Preakness Stakes 2013 odds were available at Sportsbook.com, which was offering a FREE $100 BET to those who join here.   

No surprise that Kentucky Derby winner Orb would be listed as the favorite at near EVEN odds.  The real surprise, however, is that neither Golden Soul, who finished the Derby 2^nd, or Revolutionary, who finished 3^rd, will be running in this year’s Preakness Stakes. 

Dallas Stewart said that Golden Soul, the long shot runner-up at Churchill Downs, will wait until the June 8 Belmont Stakes to race again while Revolutionary will also be rested and is expected to run in Belmont. 

Departing, who did not run in the Kentucky Derby, was a near favorite at 7/2 odds.   He is the Illinois Derby winner.  On Sunday, Departing breezed four furlongs in :50.40 at Churchill Downs.
