Twice Over 2009 Breeders Cup Odds

Twice Over was listed with the 4th shortest 2009 Breeders Cup odds at Sports Interaction.  Odds were listed at +1000 for a potential payout of $1000 on every $100 bet heading into Thursday.

Twice Over, runner-up to New Approach in 2008, went one better to win the Group One Champion Stakes at Newmarket on October 17 for trainer Henry Cecil and jockey Tom Queally.

It was a third win in the race for 66-year-old Cecil, a popular and successful figure in the sport for four decades.

Twice Over (14-1) took up the running with 300 metres to go and held off Mawatheeq (7-1) by half a length with Kieren Fallon's mount Sariska (8-1) third of the 14 runners.

Queally told Channel 4 Racing: "Twice Over deserves this. He's had so many near misses."

Cecil, who trains locally, said: "It's always lovely to win here."
