This Grade II stakes race is open to three-year-old horses and is run over a distance of 1⅛ miles and features a purse of $750,000.

Hansen will be ridden by Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith, who replaces his regular rider Ramon Dominguez.

“Mike thinks the horse is better than he’s ever been going into any race, so I’m excited about that,” said Dr. Kendall Hansen, speaking of trainer Mike Maker.

“It would be nice to get another building race under Hansen and then hopefully run him 100 percent in the Travers and see if we can beat the other 3-year-olds there that everybody is talking about,” Hansen added.
