  • Rainy forecast will favor Exaggerator
  • Cherry Wine connections make him enticing in the mud
  • Stradivari has won his last two races by a combined 25 lengths and earned a 101 Brisnet speed rating in most recent race
  • Collected trainer Bob Baffert has won five Preakness Stakes to date

f you have been following Gambling911.com in recent days, we’ve been talking a great deal about the weather and how Exaggerator has a good shot of beating Preakness Stakes favorite Nyquist on Saturday thanks to a soggy forecast.  Rain is probably the only thing that will prevent Nyquist from going 5-0 against him.

Exaggerator at 9-2 odds is not the only horse with the potential of beating Nyquist.

Cherry Wine, which just narrowly missed making the Kentucky Derby field, has connections that make him look like a horse that can also run well in the rain.

Stradivari won his last two races by a combined 25 lengths while recently earning a 101 Brisnet Speed Rating.  He’s also the first horse trainer Todd Pletcher has entered in a Preakness Stakes since 2011.  He is coming in at 12-1 odds early on.

Stradivari’s jockey John Velazquez won the 2007 Belmont Stakes and 2011 Kentucky Derby.

Collected at 25-1 odds has trainer Bob Baffert on his side.  Baffert has won five Preakness Stakes races including last year’s Triple Crown winner American Pharoah.

Let’s look at the early odds below.
