€170,030 for the IPT7 Malta2 Champ as Event Reaches 947 Players

A massive Day 1b for the €1,100 IPT7 Malta2 Main Event brought the final numbers up to 947 participants (224 + 723 including three no-shows), creating a €918,590 prize pool.

135 places will be paid with the eventual champ taking a €170,030 first prize while a min cash is worth €1,810.

Back in March, it was Greek pro Georgios "ZISIMO7" Zisimopoulos who became the champion, scooping €142,205 along with the title and trophy. The 27-year-old from Athens, who qualified on PokerStars for his title-defending campaign, entered today and will return to a healthy 70k-chip stack after dinner break.

Meanwhile, French players came in second with 80 participants (8%) and the UK third with 62 (7%). Overall, the IPT Malta Main Event has attracted players from 57 different countries. Please see below for the pie chart.
