Americas Cardroom Unleashes Another $10k Sit 'n Go Race for September
San Jose, Costa Rica –The summer might be winding down, but the tables seem to be getting hotter at Americas Cardroom—especially for Sit 'n Go players. The US-friendly online poker site today announced a $10k SnG Race featuring a $1,500 first place prize. The content runs from September 1st through 30th and awards the top 120 points earners with a combined $10,000 in cash.
"While we've taken the time to retool The Beast for our hardcore cash game grinders, we haven't forgotten about our serious SnG players," said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "This month's $10k leaderboard competition is designed to reward more players with more cash, regardless of how they finish."
From September 1st through 30th, every time an online poker player enters a Sit 'n Go at Americas Cardroom, they'll rank on the $10k SnG Race leaderboard where a total of $10,000 is on the table. To calculate points, Americas Cardroom multiplies the tournament fee by the number of players, and then divides the total by five.
With some SnG awarding more points than others, Americas Cardroom has added a points calculator to the SnG Race promo page, making it easy for players to see exactly how many leaderboard points are at stake in any given tournament.
The $10k Race has been designed to reward players with points based on the size and value of the tournament, not where the finish. That means players who bust out first will earn the same number of points as players who finish the tournament, giving every player who enters an SnG an equal chance of wining the race.
At the end of the month, Americas Cardroom will take a look at the leaderboard and award the top 120 players with a combined $10,000, with $1,500 earmarked for the first place finisher.
This isn't the only exciting tournament news for Americas Cardroom players this month. The online poker site is also hosting daily freerolls for the Punta Cana Poker Classic, which gets underway this November at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Dominican Republic.
