Dan Fleyshman is the CEO of Victory Poker, an online poker room that this month joined the Cake Poker network.  He is also among the last 7 men standing at the 2010 WSOPE (World Series of Poker Europe).  The move to Cake brought Fleyshman and his online poker room plenty of press coming into September, good press.

It wasn’t all good press leading into this summer’s World Series of Poker.  One of his stable of poker pros posted an “off color” quote on his Twitter page that enraged World Series of Poker reporter Joy Miller.  The remark, which used the term “colored” to describe an African American, so enraged Miller that she threatened to not cover any of the Victory Poker players during the prestigious tournament, even if any of them made it to the final table.

Initial reports had Miller employed by ESPN, which covers the event, however that network quickly distanced itself from the irate reporter, telling Gambling911.com that Miller had absolutely zero affiliation with ESPN or any of its properties.

So it is indeed ironical the Fleyshman himself sat atop the chip leader board coming into Tuesday’s final play.

On Monday, Fleyshman tweeted to his followers:

"For 3 days I told friends that I envisioned ending up at final table w/Ivey & Isildur… scratch that, I'm so glad they're freaking gone …"
