Poker pro and Seminole Hard Rock Casino ambassador John Racener has shut off his Twitter account to the public, allowing only his 10,000 plus followers access.  The action comes amidst allegations he and four other players refused to pay out on winnings of $500,000.  Gambling911.com has not been able to independently confirm the claims but the story has taken on a life of its own, becoming the hottest poker topic to kick off the new year.

A condensed version of what supposedly occurred appeared on the PokerFraud.com posting forum with the initial accusation lodged at TwoPlusTwo.com.

Local gambler wins over $500,000 gambling against a conglomerate of local poker pros while under the influence. After using every excuse possible, said group decides they are not paying out any money. After some time they pay out $43k of 500k. Winner warns community of the groups actions to prevent similar future scams.

Some of those in the poker community were quick to point out that the individual making said claims, one Marc Klang, doesn’t exactly have the rosiest of reputations in the world of poker.  In fact, a Google search on “Mark Klang Scammer” leads right to a posting forum thread from 2013 entitled – you guessed it – “Marc Klang Scammer”.

Upon closer examination, however, it is revealed that Klang ultimately made good on the full debt in question.

It remains to be seen whether Racener and the other accused poker players do the same, let alone acknowledge any wrongdoing.
