HOLLYWOOD, Fla. Poker action returns to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. on Sept. 21 – Oct. 2, 2017 with a World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit, marking a first-time partnership between Seminole Gaming and WSOP. The two-week tournament series offers 14 official WSOP Circuit ring events highlighted by a $1 Million Guaranteed Main Event.

“The World Series of Poker is the largest and most historic name in the industry,” said Seminole Gaming General Manager of Poker Operations Larry Frank. “As we continue to grow our poker brand throughout the state of Florida and globally, the partnership with WSOP proves a natural fit for Seminole Gaming, further establishing our position as a premier destination for top poker play.”

Signature events for the WSOP Circuit at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino include:

    •       $580 NLH (Re-Entry) $500,000 Guaranteed Opener, Thursday, Sept. 21 – Sunday, Sept. 24

    •       $1,675 Main Event (Single Re-Entry) $1 Million Guaranteed, Friday, Sept. 29 – Monday, Oct. 2

    •       $3,250 High Roller NLH (Re-Entry) $250,000 Guaranteed, Sunday, Oct. 1 – Monday, Oct. 2

At each Circuit stop, two players will earn a free $10,000 entry into the WSOP Circuit season-ending Global Casino Championship where they’ll compete for their share of more than $1 million and a coveted WSOP gold bracelet. The first entry will go to the Casino Champion, the player whose performance earns the most points according to WSOP’s points model, while the second entry will be given to the Main Event champion.

Participants of the Main Event can also earn points towards the Seminole Hard Rock Poker (SHRP) Player of the Year race, a cumulative performance-based points race in all SHRP Championships. The Player of the Year will be awarded a prize package which includes tournament buy-ins in each of the subsequent year’s Main Events and Championship.

The 2017/2018 WSOP Circuit schedule highlights a record number of stops globally, including two stops in Florida. A total of 13 states will be visited this season with the cumulative entries expected to surpass the WSOP event in Las Vegas. In addition to the Hollywood series, a second WSOP Circuit event will be held at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek on Feb. 8 – 19, 2018.
