Vojtech Ruzicka Leads Record-Breaking EPT100 Barcelona Main Event

Czech pro Vojtech Ruzicka is chip leader going in to Day 3 of the record-breaking #EPT100 Barcelona Main Event. There are 292 players left from the 906 who started Day 2 today. The overall field was a staggering 1496 players from 71 countries, a record for EPT events in Europe (beating the 1,240-strong EPT6 Sanremo won by Liv Boeree).

Other survivors include Martin Finger (502,000), Marko Neumann (316,100), Josh Prager (320,700), Max Pescatori (294,000), Fedor Holz (260,600), Kent Lundmark (237,700), Scott Seiver (216,400), Team Online's Grzegorz Mikielewicz (264,900), PCA 2013 champion Dimitar Danchev (263,300), Team PokerStars Pro Jan Heitmann (203,000), Dan Shak (188,400), Mike McDonald (130,200) and November Niners Andoni Larrabe (125,600) and Martin Jacobson (72,000).

Ruzicka, who is #5 in the Czech Republic all time money list, has been playing EPTs since Season 7. His best live result to date was winning the EPT Deauville €10k High Roller in Season 9 for €313,000 and his lifetime tournament winnings already amount to nearly $1m.

This season's Barcelona champion will receive a life-changing first prize of €1,261,000. In all, 239 wil get a share of the €7,255,600 prize pool with a min-cash worth €8,050.
