Poker pro Phil "Poker Brat" Hellmuth Jr., who earned his record 12th career championship gold bracelet at the recently-concluded WSOP in Las Vegas, just returned from a week in London, where he attended the Olympic Games and among other things watched swimmer Michael Phelps, who would go on to earn a record 22 career Olympic medals.

For the past week, Hellmuth has been all over Twitter, tweeting his experiences at the Olympics, especially his reactions to Phelps' victories.

"I'm flying to London," Hellmuth tweeted. "Michael Phelps vs. Lochte! I have tix for their Olympic heads-up race."

Later he tweeted: "Locked up tix for the Olympic opening ceremony...at face value they're expensive," and then, "Michael Phelps, I'll be rooting you on!"

After Phelps won another Olympic medal, Hellmuth tweeted: "Congrats Michael Phelps!! Not only are you the greatest Olympian of all-time, but you're the most decorated in swimming in 2012 Olympics!"

Hellmuth, whose second-favorite activity after poker is name-dropping, didn't let his being across the pond limit him on that front, tweeting: "I'm here to root for Michael Phelps, but Sacramento Kings and Palms Casino owner Gavin Maloof  invited us to watch the USA hoops team," and later, "We are sitting next to supermodel Bar Rafaeli tonight at swimming. Heard she is a cool girl. I wonder if she has any hold 'em skills?"

And, of coure, Hellmuth didn't miss the opportunity to let everyone know just how tight he is with Phelps, tweeting as he departed London: "Bummed to be leaving London and miss partying with Michael Phelps."

Shortly after arriving back in the U.S. Friday, Hellmuth was back to his old tricks--dropping more names!

His first Tweet after getting back was to let everyone know he and couple of his movie star pals would be holding a charity poker tournament: "Tomorrow in my hood, Matt Damon and I are helping Ben Affleck raise $1 million for the Eastern Congo Inititive charity."
