Apparently the John McCain camp didn't get the message when even Republicans claimed an ad by the Arizona Senator and Republican GOP nominee for US President comparing Barack Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears crossed the line. Now McCain is comparing the Illinois Senator and Democratic nominee for President to Moses.

Then again, that may not be such a bad thing. Although nobody will accuse McCain of trying to attract the "younger vote" with a "Moses" ad.

Democrats called the ad "juvenile".

Nobody can fault McCain for doing his best to garner attention at a time when the press seems to be falling all over Obama however.

John McCain debuted another stinging attack video targeting Barack Obama Friday, this time mocking his White House foe as "The One" -- a quasi-religious figure who "anointed" himself to lead the world.

"Can you see the light?" the hard-hitting negative ad asks, following up on Republican McCain's new campaign theme that the Illinois Democrat is arrogant, transfixed by his own celebrity and not yet ready to lead.

"Barack Obama may be The One," the announcer says. "But is he ready to lead?"

The remarkably personal Web ad marked the end of a week in which the McCain campaign stepped up aggressive attacks against the Democrat, who would be America's first black president if he is elected on Nov. 4.

A television advertisement on Wednesday compared his sudden fame to pop culture celebrities like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

None of this has changed either candidate's odds of winning the White House. Obama remains a somewhat delicate -250 favorite verses McCain as the almost 2/1 underdog at Sportsbook.com.
