TCU Horned Frogs -1

Oregon Ducks +1

Total: 78

Oregon Ducks 9-3 SU, 7-5 ATS

The Ducks won their final six games of the regular season and if not for an early season injury to quarterback Vernon Adams this team could have been playing in the College Football Playoffs. The Ducks scored a ton of points as they averaged 43 points per game but they allowed nearly 37 points per contest. It is no shock that they went over the total in 8 of their 12 games this season. The Ducks believe they are the best team in the Pac-12 and they will be looking to finish the season with a big win.

TCU Horned Frogs 10-2 SU, 6-6 ATS

The Horned Frogs just couldn’t stay healthy this season and when quarterback Trevone Boykin got hurt they simply didn’t have enough to beat Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. When healthy, Boykin is one of the top players in the country and he is now healthy and ready to roll. The Horned Frogs averaged 42 points per game this season while allowing 26 points per contest. TCU went under the total in 7 of their 12 games this season. The Alamo Bowl should be a total shootout and even a total near 80 doesn’t look high enough with these two explosive offenses and weak defenses on the field.

The Alamodome has enjoyed a 21-year history in its own right. The first ever event to take place here was Paul McCartney's The New World Tour concert. It was the home of the NBA's San Antonio Spurs from 1993 - 2002. Both the Women's and Men's NCAA basketball Final Four has been held here, with the men's being hosted in 1999, 2004, and 2008, and the women's in 2002 and 2010. The Men's Final Four in 2018 will also be held here. Since 2011, the University of Texas, San Antonio Roadrunners have played their home games in the Alamodome.

If you are considering attending the Alamo Bowl this year, you can get upper level seats for as low as $42. Nice seats on the lower level near the middle of the field can be found for $215 and, of course, there are many luxury suites available depending on the size of the group that you intend to bring.

This year's game will match up a Big 12 team and a Pac-12 team, and this has commonly been the 2nd and 3rd place teams from each Conference. When the teams are announced and the lines start to become available, be sure to check the Diamond Sportsbook NCAA Football Lines page, and be on the lookout for all our bowl previews this college football season. With more than 40 games being played this post season, and our first ever playoff installed, it is definitely the most wonderful time of the year.
