MLB Betting Odds, Trends and Picks – May 28

Rangers-Blue Jays – The Blue Jays have jumped up from -145 to -165 thanks to Toronto’s six straight wins against Texas coming into this game.

The Blue Jays are 4-0 in their last 4 games vs. a right-handed starter while the Rangers are 0-4 in their last 4 road games vs. a right-handed starter.

The Rangers RH Andrew Cashner (1-4, 3.18 ERA) yielded a season-high five runs along with six hits and four walks while striking out two in five innings of an 11-6 loss in Boston on Tuesday.

The Blue Jays RH Joe Biagini (1-2, 3.75) allowed three runs, five hits and three walks while striking out three in 4 1/3 innings of a 4-3 victory in Milwaukee on Tuesday.

Royals- Indians – Cleveland was priced at -135.

The Royals are 2-8 in the last 10 meetings in Cleveland but have been victorious in the last two.  That should change today.

KC is 2-6 in LH Danny Duffy’s (4-3, 2.92 ERA) last 8 road starts.  He’s been pitching well of late. Duffy took the loss against the Indians on May 7 despite yielding one run in 6 2/3 frames.

The Indians RH Josh Tomlin (2-6, 6.70) suffered his third loss in as many starts Monday at Cincinnati and will be hungry for a victory against a team his club has dominated.  He is 9-4 with a 4.15 ERA in 22 appearances (18 starts) against them.

With KC winning the last two and Tomlin’s poor showing of late, we are getting Cleveland at a good price of -135, a hot play.

Reds-Phillies - The Reds are 11-4 in the last 15 meetings.

Orioles-Astros – The UNDER is 13-3 in the last 16 meetings in Houston with a total of 8.5 that hasn’t moved.  Seven of the last ten games in this series have gone UNDER the current 8.5 number as well.

The Astros RH Lance McCullers Jr. (5-1, 2.43) has not allowed an earned run in 27 frames spanning five outings.  McCullers won each of his previous two career starts against Baltimore, yielding two runs and five hits while striking out 21 in 14 innings.
