Henderson, a former WEC Lightweight Champion with a record of 15 wins and 2 losses, is known for his aggressive style and his ability to escape from deep submission attempts. As of November 2011, Henderson is ranked as the #4 lightweight fighter in the world by Sherdog.

Edgar has vowed he will not give up on his belt that easy.

“It's not so much the belt, it's what the belt means. How much I worked for it, how much my team worked for it and sacrificed for it,” Edgar said in UFC.com. “So yeah, I'm not gonna give up that belt so easily.”

Edgar acknowledged his opponent is going to present a challenge Saturday.

“He's a great athlete. He's a big 155-pounder. He's very hard to submit. He's got strong wrestling base,” said Edgar. “Being the champ, the next guy you fight is always tough.”

UFC 144 will come to us from Japan on February 26.  In the US, the event will air Saturday night, February 25, 7PM/10PM PT/ET.
