Third-ranked Texas will try and put the BCS Championship snub behind them as they face Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl on Monday.  The Longhorns were left out of the title game, despite having only one loss and defeating Oklahoma in the regular season. "It's time for us to put behind us all the BCS stuff and move forward and look forward to a great game," Texas head coach Mack Brown said. "The BCS doesn't satisfy everybody. We've been on the positive side of it a few times. We've been on the negative side a few times." SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Texas at Home.

Texas has a lot of talent, especially on the offensive end led by Heisman Trophy finalist Colt McCoy who threw for 3,445 yards and 32 TD.  He completed an NCAA-record 77.6 percent of his passes this season. "He's been the heart of our offense," Brown said. "He means to this team what Vince Young meant to the one in 2005. ... I can't imagine a player that means more to his team than Colt does to ours."

The Buckeyes are used to facing a superior team in a bowl game and lately they have been blown out. Ohio State is playing in a BCS bowl for the seventh time but in the last two games they lost 41-14 to Florida and 38-24 to LSU. "To be honest, we don't try to think about it too much," linebacker James Laurinaitis said. "We're going to get asked that question over and over and over until you win one of those games."

Ohio State and Texas have played just twice in their history with each team winning once.  The Longhorns won 25-22 in 2005 while the Buckeyes won 24-7 the next season.  Here are more College Football betting stats for Monday's game. The Buckeyes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Buckeyes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. the Big 12. The Buckeyes are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
