Gambling911.com  has your Free College Basketball pick for this President's Day and it's on the first half of the game between Louisiana Tech and New Mexico.  We say go with Louisiana Tech +5 in the first half.   They are 11-1 this season in all games against conference opponents in the first half.

Now let's look at Pittsburgh vs. Connecticut.

.... A matchup of Top 5 teams takes place in Hartford on Monday as #1 Connecticut hosts #4 Pittsburgh.  The Huskies will be going for their 14th straight victory on Monday but they will have to get it without Jerome Dyson who is out for the year with a torn meniscus.  He was third on the team in scoring at 13.2 points per game. SBG Global reports that early College basketball line has the public taking Pittsburgh on the Road.

Connecticut has been getting fabulous play lately from center Hasheem Thabeet who had 25 points, 20 rebounds and 9 blocked shots in a 62-54 win at Seton Hall on Saturday. He ranks second in the country in field goal percentage and blocked shots. "Hasheem Thabeet is a great player who's really improved tremendously as his career has gone on," Pittsburgh coach Jamie Dixon said. "He started against us here his freshmen year and that UConn team didn't even make the NCAA tournament. Now, two years later they're the number-one ranked team in the country riding him very hard. That shows great improvement."

Pittsburgh has DeJuan Blair and he will try and contain Thabeet. Blair is fifth in the country in rebounding.  He had 17 points in Pittsburgh's 85-69 win over Cincinnati on Saturday.  Pittsburgh is not a one man team though as Sam Young leads them with 18.9 points per game while guard Levance Fields is averaging 12 points and 12.3 assists in his last four games.  He leads the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio. "Everything we do on offense flows through him and he's really just leading us perfectly right now," Dixon said.
