Ottawa vs. Buffalo

VS.

(6.0) (-160)

Ron's Comment: Fatigue is about due to set in for the Sabres, as theyve been playing every second day since October 21st and they are getting a hungry Ottawa team who are coming off 2 bad performances. Lalime is expected to get the start for Buffalo tonight, while Auld who is 4-0 vs. Buffalo is the Ottawa starter. The bookmakers are on to this total and the history of these 2 teams, as 7 of the last 8 games between the Sens and Sabres have gone OVER the total.

Prediction: Ottawa 4 Buffalo 2

NY Rangers vs. NY Islanders

VS.

(-150) (5.5)

Ron's Comment: The line come out late on this game, as the status of DiPietro was unknown, but MacDonald is expected to be between the pipes for the Islanders vs. the 8-3 (SU) NY Rangers. Any time the Rangers and Islanders get together, it brings out the best out of both teams and the Rangers are 10-2 SU in their last 15 meetings on the Islands and the UNDER is 7-0-2 in their last 9 visits. However, with no DiPietro tonight and the Rangers more explosive on offense, makes this an easy call.

Prediction: NY Rangers 4 NY Islanders 2

Anaheim vs. Columbus

VS.

(-130) (5.0)

Ron's Comment: The Ducks have salvage a sinking ship with their current road trip vs. the Northeast division, as theyve manage to embark on a 3-game winning streak and stunned the Canadiens at home on Saturday in front of a full energized building at the Bell Center. JS Giguere is the expected starter tonight vs. Columbus and hes 12-5 (SU) vs. Columbus and according to goaliepost.com, look for Norrena to get the nod tonight for the Blue Jackets. Since the Ducks are facing an offensively challenge hockey team who depends too heavily on one player like Rick Nash, and the Ducks are experienced at the blue line, I feel they are the call here tonight. The Ducks have won 4 of their last 5 games vs. the Blue Jackets in Columbus.

Prediction: Anaheim 3 Columbus 1

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
