Thursday night's NFL game between the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars is of super importance to the once mighty Colts who are suddenly becoming mighty once again.

This is Carrie Stroup reporting for Gambling911.com with our extensive coverage of NFL 2009 Super Bowl odds as we start to learn which teams are heading for the Playoffs over these final two weeks of the NFL regular season. Indianapolis is indeed Gambling911.com's "Team to Watch" and with good reason. The oddsmakers hadn't quite written off the Colts, but even today you can get this tried and true team at +1000 odds (a $100 bet placed now would pay $1000 if the Colts win the 2009 Super Bowl at Super Book.

Sure the Colts wins have been anything but pretty.  Does it really matter?  A win is a win and Indianapolis has gone 7 straight.

The Colts control their own destiny heading into Thursday night's matchup against the Jaguars, who will look to play the spoiler.

Indianapolis can seal a postseason berth with a victory at Jacksonville.  The following week doesn't get any easier with Tennessee waiting in the wings and perhaps looking to vie for home field advantage.

"We've got a short turnaround now," Dungy added. "We need one more game to get ourselves in the playoffs. It's a team that beat us here (23-21 in Week 3). I know they would like to keep us out, so we have our work cut out for us. We'll continue to work, come back to practice on Tuesday and get ready to go."

The line on this game was Colts -6 ½ and Super Book.  It's a tall order for Indianapolis to fill since most of their games with Jacksonville have been won by 7 points or less.  The Colts though are 5-0-1 in their last 6 Thursday night appearances.  The Jaguars are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games in Week 16 (when they were in contention we might add).

With that said, I am predicting a Colts cover here of +6 ½ and would seriously consider them for at least a small 2009 Super Bowl future bet at Super Book.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
