Western Conference Finals Game 4
Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix Suns
Tuesday, 9:05 pm Eastern - TNT

The key game of the Western Conference Finals takes place on Tuesday night in Phoenix as the Suns host the Los Angeles Lakers. If the Suns can get a win they would even up the series at 2-2 while a Los Angeles win would send them home up 3-1 with a chance to clinch.

Phoenix is a 1-point favorite with a total of 221.5 at SBG Global.

The Lakers had their chances on Sunday night but the Suns got 42 points from Amar'e Stoudemire and dominated from the free throw line in a 118-109 victory. The Suns have won 13 of their past 14 home NBA betting games so the Lakers have their work cut out for them on Tuesday night. Kobe Bryant did his part in Game 3 as he had 36 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds but he didn't get enough help. Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom didn't really show up and without two of their big men, the Lakers couldn't stop Stoudemire.

The Lakers were very much in Game 3 as they trailed just 93-92 in the fourth quarter. The Suns used their home court edge and made the big plays when they needed to and they got back into the series. They will need a similar effort on Tuesday if they expect to tie the series.

Los Angeles is still 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Conference Finals games even with the Game 3 loss. They are also a solid underdog as they are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 NBA playoff betting games as an underdog. The Lakers are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings against Phoenix.

The Suns are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 playoff games as a favorite. The Suns are 38-18-1 ATS in their last 57 Tuesday games. The Suns are 37-18-1 ATS in their last 56 home games. Even with that win the Suns are just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Conference Finals games. The home team in this series is 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings.

In regards to the total, the Over is 4-0 in the Lakers last 4 Conference Finals games. The Over is 5-1-1 in the Lakers last 7 road games. The Over is 4-1-1 in the Lakers last 6 playoff games as an underdog. The Over is 5-2 in the Lakers last 7 Tuesday games. The Over is 4-0 in the Suns last 4 overall. The Over is 6-1 in the Suns last 7 games as a home favorite.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
