Martin Biron will be in goal on Tuesday against his old team as the Philadelphia Flyers host the Buffalo Sabres.  Biron made 31 saves on Saturday in a 4-1 win over Nashville.  He is 2-0 against the Sabres this season including a 3-0 shutout.  He definitely looks forward to playing against his old team. "It's a little bit fun because these are guys that I know, and this is a team that I know really well," he said. "Friends and family are going to be watching the game. That's definitely something that you get up for."
SBG Global reports that early Hockey betting has the public taking   Sabres on the Road.

Philadelphia head coach John Stevens is pleased with Biron's play of late. "He looked confident, he was aggressive, he was square to the shooter, and the puck sticks to him when he plays like that," said Stevens, "He makes the saves he's supposed to make, and then he makes a couple goal-saving saves that really give the team confidence."

Buffalo could be a little bit weak on Tuesday considering many of their players are battling the flu including center Derek Roy.  "I don't think it was an excuse for some of the plays but he has been suffering," head coach Lindy Ruff said. "He missed some time in the Phoenix game and he missed some time in the Ottawa game. It's tough right now but we've got to battle through it and throw these excuses aside."

Here are the Hockey betting stats for Tuesday's game. The Sabres are 27-8 in their last 35 Tuesday games. The Sabres are 3-7 in their last 10 vs. the Eastern Conference. The Sabres are 0-4 in their last 4 road games. The road team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between the two teams.

The Flyers are 9-3 in their last 12 Tuesday games. The Flyers are 13-6 in their last 19 home games.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
