Premier League Darts

Premier League Darts betting odds were being offered up by Sportingbet.com Monday to compliment the Burnley v Sheffield United matchup.

Not surprisingly, Phil Taylor has been instilled as the favorite to win this event with -334 odds.  He is going for his 5th consecutive title.

Taylor said: "The Whyte & Mackay Premier League title is like the world title to me - the more I win it, the more I want to hold on to it because I can't bear to let it go.

Should any of the other entries win, the payouts would be enormous.

James Wade, for instance, would pay US$550 for every US$100 bet.

James Wade admitted he has fallen out of love with darts and will never have the same appetite for the sport as Taylor.

"I cannot get my head around the fact that Phil lives, eats, and breathes darts. It just doesn't appeal to me. I don't have the same dedication.

"I picked up my darts for the first time in three weeks on Thursday night. It is quite strange really.

"It is to do with the pressures and the way that some people are in the sport. I love working on cars.

"Everyone knows my high points are better than Phil's, but I don't dedicate my life to darts. I have overcome a lot of problems in my social life, but there are still some things which affect me.

"It just depends what mood I turn up in on Monday. I know that I need to win another TV tournament."

Obviously, this doesn't give us much hope for Wade to win.

Premier League Darts betting odds were also listed for Raymond van Barneveld, paying 7 to 1, and Mervyn King at 18/1 odds.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
