Red Wings vs. Lightning Betting Line – Game 5 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Gambling911.com has your Red Wings vs. Lightning betting line for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs 2015 courtesy of our friends at BetDSI.com.

Detroit Red Wings 22-21 on the Road

The Detroit Red Wings have not been a great road team this season with 22 wins and 21 losses. They did manage to win Game 1 of this series in Tampa although they were outplayed for the most part. The difference for the Red Wings so far in this series is that they are getting outstanding goaltending from Petr Mrazek. The Red Wings are not a great team but they are really well coached and they have some veteran players who know how to win. And they have Mrazek. He made 22 saves to get his first playoff shutout in Game 3. He made 44 saves in a 3-2 victory in the opener.

Tampa Bay Lightning 33-10 at Home

The Lightning were the best home team in the NHL this season but they did lose the first game of this series in home ice. They definitely can’t afford to be losing at home again. Tampa has been stymied by Mrazek more times than not this season as he shut them out during the regular season and then did it again in Game 3. The Lightning were the highest scoring team in the NHL this season as they averaged 3.2 goals per game but they have struggled at times in this series against Detroit. The Lightning went under 20 times at home during the regular season with 19 games going over with 2 pushes. Their first playoff home game went under while the second game went over.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
