  • Glantz says WSOP officials would rather go by the rules than to protect integrity of the game
  • Matusow alludes to Touil’s failure to pay back poker pro Phil Galfond on a $300K loan
  • Galfond, however, has said the loan was paid back in full
  • Other poker pros take to Twitter to bash Touil

In an interview with PokerNews.com released Saturday, poker pro Matt Glantz attempted to demonstrate what he referred to as the “dishonest” actions taken by fellow poker player Samuel Touil at this week’s Dealers Choice Championship.

The angle shooting player, Touil, nearly stacked Glantz while claiming that the chips never touched the felt.

“The World Series of Poker officials went by the rules, the chips didn’t touch the felt, there was no forward motion rule at the World Series and they’d rather go by the rules then protect the interest of the game,” Glantz said.

Things got really interesting when outspoken poker pro Mike Matusow, standing along side Glantz during the interview, claimed Touil to be “the same scumbag who f***ed Phil Galfond out of $300,000 three years ago and stole from him.”

Matusow wasn’t the only outside observer who offered a few choice words towards Touil.

For the record, regarding the Galfond matter Matusow brought up, it should be noted that Galfond has since taken to Twitter to relay that the loan in question was eventually paid back in full.
